This summer, the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) hosts the 22nd annual meeting of the Russian-American Pacific Partnership (RAPP) July 19-20, 2017 in Yakutsk, Russia. RAPP is a unique forum that brings together Russian and American businesspeople, scientists, and government officials to address challenges facing the two countries and seek opportunities for cooperation. Over its tenure spanning more than two decades, RAPP has been instrumental in aligning customs clearance procedures, easing visa regulations, and developing sea and air transportation between the regions.  In the upcoming 2017 session, we’ll learn about tourism development, cooperation on climate, artic and marine science, issues pertaining to native peoples, and the status of the new Arctic seaway, among other topics. For more information, visit RAPP website.
